Maharashtra Police Register FIR Against BJP Leaders for Alleged Hate Speech

 A police officer said on Sunday that a first information report (FIR) has been filed against Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) legislators Nitesh Rane and T. Raja Singh, and others for allegedly delivering hate speeches during the 'Hindu Jan Akrosh' rally in Solapur, Maharashtra.



The officer from Jail Road Police Station mentioned that leaders representing the entire Hindu community, associated with various organizations, participated in the rally held between Rajendra Chowk and Kanna Chowk on Saturday. This group, which includes officials whose names are also in the FIR, belongs to several organizations, as per the FIR.

He said, "We have filed a case against Rane, Raja Singh, officials of the entire Hindu society, Sudhakar Mahadev Bahirwade, and eight to ten others under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC)."

The case has been registered under IPC Section 153A (creating enmity between two different groups on the basis of religion), 295A (deliberate and malicious acts, intended to outrage religious feelings of any class by insulting its religion or religious beliefs), and others.
